26/32-bit neutral
Verma was made 26/32-bit neutral as of version 0.20, though with a dependancy on Castle's '32-bit' Shared C Library. As of version 0.26 it has been linked with StubsG and thus no longer requires Castle's Shared C Library.
A module-related utility, that provides detailed information about modules located in memory or on disc.
It provides the usual array of module maintainance commands along with the ability to extract modules from the RMA to disc.
In addition to being able to list all modules in ROM/RMA, it can also
recursively scan directories, reporting in a window on all modules found
there-in. Each listed module is compared with the current RMA contents,
which makes it particularly useful for keeping tabs on the ever-growing
number of modules in the new boot structure.
Try it with !System (ie drag !System onto Verma's iconbar icon) - or
with !Boot even.
The program supports multiple viewers (from directory scans), and the contents of these or the ROM/RMA window can be saved as a Text file, or searched for specific modules.
A separate window lists detailed information about a single module – flags, service details, and individual SWIs and commands/keywords provided by this module – and from here individual SWI/command help can be called up, in the case of SWI and service numbers via a StrongHelp lookup.
Many of the latest StrongHelp manuals are available from Christian Ludlam's Sudden Recoil site.
